Harry S. Truman Presidential Museum

The Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum located in Independence, MO  traces the life of Harry S. Truman, our 33rd President from his humble beginnings in the small town of Independence, MO.  For nearly 8 years, he lead the nation and the world in turbulant times with the dropping of the atomic bomb; the ending of WW II;  the formation of the United Nations, NATO, and the Marshall Plan; the Berlin Airlift, civil rights in the US; and dealing with the beginning of the Cold War.  "The Buck Stops Here"  The Courtyard features the grave sites of Harry and Bess Truman.
