New Orleans

"The Big Easy", New Orleans, LA - the French Quarter, Jackson Square, Mississippi River, Mardi Gras, above ground old cemeteries, Cajuns, the Superdome, and Hurricane Katrina.  As in other locations visited, I could have spent a lot more time in this area seeing the sites in more detail. Click on highlighted words for links to detailed information.  My drive to New Orleans from Abita Springs RV Resort took me across the Lake Pontcartrain Causeway, the worlds longest continuous bridge over water, 24 miles long. The city and local businesses have undertaken major construction projects in preparation for this years Superbowl XLVII on February 3, 2013.
