The
Styx River RV Resort in Alabama was a two day stopping off point conveniently located near I-10. A chance to do some hiking around, laundry, read, check the oil, kick the tires, etc. Be sure to click on the highlighted links to review the history of my discovery of
Styx River Water World.

Photographer Dean Jeffrey took this photo in 2002 when he was driving by Styx River Water World in Alabama. Even then, not much was left of the once sprawling park – which Jeffrey reckons was operational between 1977 and 1993. Not much left except for knocked-over fiberglass statues. |
