Tuzigoot (Apache for "crooked water") National Monument located in Clarkdale, AZ preserves the ruins of a 110 room pueblo that was occupied by the Sinagua Indians from about 1125 AD until it was abandoned around 1425 AD. The original pueblo was two stories high in places. There were few exterior doors; entry was by way of ladders through openings in the roofs.
